Courses are scheduled:
2021, 4-9 July, daily, between 10:00–18:00

The closing concert of master courses:
10 July 2021, 3 p.m., Saturday

The schedule of the chamber music master course is announced upon arrival.

Active students are free to attend all lectures of the Early Music Days as passive participants.

Number of active participants: 5-12

5 active participants are the required minimum for a course to be launched.

Numbers for passive participants are unlimited.

SINGING MASTER COURSE

Elisabeth Scholl and Ágnes Kovács

Course language: Hungarian, German, English

Course material: German baroque repertoire with a special emphasis on cantatas by J.S. Bach and G.P. Telemann, recitative, German pronunciation. All other barque or classical pieces are welcome. (More)

FLUTE MASTER COURSE

Vera Balogh

Course language: Hungarian, English, French, Italian

Course material: Berlin-sonatas, chamber compositions.
Compositions by J. J. Quantz, Frigyes Nagy, C. Ph. E. Bach, C.H. and J.G. Graun, F. Benda etc.,  J. S. Bach: Sonata in E-major in the light of Quantz: Flute-school and C. P. E. Bach: Versuch.
Applications for baroque and modern flute are accepted.

 

VIOLIN MASTER COURSE

Course language: English, German

Course material:  Baroque sonatas, concertos (Bach, Telemann, Leclair, etc.) and string-quartets of the early classical period.

 

RECORDER MASTER COURSE

Course language: English, German, Mandarin

Course material: German and Italian baroque compositions.

 

FORTEPIANO MASTER COURSE

Stefania Neonato

Course language: English, German, Hungarian, French

Course material: Composers of the classical period.
The course provides the following fortepiano copies: Walter-fortepiano, Graf-fortepiano, Silbermann fortepiano
Tuning: A=415’

Stefania Neonato will replace Malcolm Bilson as the professor of fortepiano master course at the 37th Early Music Days.

 

BAROQUE CELLO  MASTER COURSE

Course material: Baroque cello repertory, primarily the compositions of Bach, Geminiani, Barrière, Telemann, Gabrielli.


CHAMBER MUSIC MASTER COURSE

György Vashegyi

Assistants:
Réka Nagy – baroque cello, viola de gamba
Augustin Szokos – harpsichord

Course language: Hungarian, English, German, French

Course material: Baroque vocal and instrumental chamber music. The assistants will preliminary discuss the selected repertoire with the participants, but on-site consultation is also possible.
Tuning: A=415’

The newly founded “Haydneum – Hungarian Early Music Center” offers a scholarship to 5-10 outstanding participants of the chamber music master course of the Early Music Days held between 3-10 July 2021, in Vác. Haydneum is going to reimburse the best students of the course for the full participation fee paid to Filharmonia Hungary. There is no need to pre-register for the scholarship. On behalf of Haydneum, the professor of the chamber master course, György Vashegyi will announce the recipients at the final concert of the event.
