Georgios Balatsinos is the Winner of the International Concert Competition for Young Conductors In Berlin 2016, in 2017 was selected as one of the top three finalists at the workshop INTERAKTION des Kritischen Orchesters Berlin by members of orchestras such as Berlin Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Dresden and Staatskapelle Berlin etc., Semifinalis of Donatella Flick Conducting competition (UK), and 1st Prizewinner of the "International Conducting Competition Black Sea 2012" (RU) . He appeared in Prag Spring Festival 2010, Dresdner Festspiel etc. In July 2015 he realized his debut at the Musikverein, Vienna in SCL Festival and Conducted Don Pasquale of G. Donizeti in Stadt Theather Meiningen, in June 2016 he conducted the Berliner Symphoniker in the Philarmonie Hall of Berlin.
He conducted various Orchestras such as the NAC Orchestra (Ottawa), Athens State Orchestra, Meiningen Hoffkapelle, Gstaad Festival Orchestra, the Lithuanian State Philharmonic, the Sofia Festival Philharmonic, Orchestra Verdi di Milano, Orchestra il Pomeriggi di Milano, Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo, the Athens Symphony Orchestra, the National Opera O.Danovsky (RU) among others. Current Principal guest conductor of Orchestra sinfonica di Salerno, Conductor of the Youth Orchestra Arabesque (CH)and the Sinfonietta Mosaique (CH) and guest conductor of the National Opera Orchestra Oleg Danovsky (RU).He received a comprehensive musical education in violin, viola, piano, composition, and conducting at the Conservatories of Detmold, Geneva, Bern, Luzern and Milano. He studied conducting at the Hochschule der Kunst Luzern with R. Weikert and at the Conservatorio G. Verdi with V.Parisi. The last years he has been working regularly with Maestro Jorma Panula in Helsinki as well has been selected to study in International Masterclasses with D.Zinman, P. Eötvös, G. Gelmetti, N.Järvi and G. Albrecht.
During his studies, he has been awarded by various foundations (Lyra Foundation, Hirschmann Foundation, Onassis Foundation, IKY etc
