An organ as a folk instrument? Why not - after all, in the past, village organs were often used in such a way that music from outside the church walls would seep inside. István Pál Szalonna, the folk violinist born in Transcarpathia, discovered the secret passageways between classical and folk music at an early age: his father was both the conductor of the Kyiv Opera House and a wedding musician. On this evening, he performs together with organist Szabolcs Szamosi, and the two artists will show how deeply folk and sacred music are connected - in more ways than one.
